As a project manager at HIS, Karlotta is working on a variety of projects, usually with a focus around regenerative aquaculture. Her main interests are low-trophic aquaculture species due to their potential as climate smart food sources with positive ecosystem services that provide accessible economic alternatives for coastal communities, especially in developing countries. With her base in Baja California Sur, Mexico she is especially dedicated to advancing the sustainable aquaculture sector in Latin America.
