A meeting was held to try and find a solution for optimum and sustainable use of small pelagics.
For the first time in the history of the productive field, this meeting was attended by all members of the fishing states associated with sardine and mackerel, among other species.
In an atmosphere of dialogue and conviviality, authorities and producers presented proposals to consolidate areas of productive systems and schemes for the sustainable growth of the sector.
Sardines will be used to promote human consumption, through the National Campaign Against Hunger, as it is a food that gives the human body a high amount of protein, Omega-3 oils and calcium, among other nutrients that benefit health.
