Pilot Study Looks at the Semi-captive Breeding of Red Crab

ECUADOR - The National Fisheries Institute (INP) is to run a pilot study on the breeding of red crab in a natural environment. The study should determine any increases in size and weight of crabs produced under semi-captivity.

The study will also use different types of diets to see which will improve the crab quality.

The experimental enclosure is located in Puerto Baquerizo.
