Cargill To Acquire Burris Mill & Feed Inc. - US - Cargill Animal Nutrition announced that it has signed a purchase agreement for the assets of Burris Mill & Feed Inc., Franklinton, La. which primarily produces fish feed.
"Aquaculture is the primary focus of Burris Mill, and Cargill intends to increase its presence in this industry," said John Peppel, vice president of Cargill Animal Nutrition. Cargill manufactures aquaculture products primarily in Latin America and Asia, with some production in several U.S. locations.
Cargill will continue to use the Burris brand in the future. David Burris, president, and Bob Burris, vice president and secretary, will reamin with the business as Cargill employees.
