The construction of this first Dining and Processing Center, which is named "Karu Pira" ("eat fish" in Guarani), is located in the town of Pueblo Brugo (Paran), and required an investment of $3.5 million, of which the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries contributed $2,500,000.

The facility will allow local famillies, mainly wives and children of fishmen, to process fish and make dishes to sell on the local market.

The project will therefore promote local employment and also the improvemnt of the quality of fish products.
