Fish farmers affected by contaminated water confident in investigation of EIT officials

THAILAND - Fish farmers in Ayutthaya and Ang Thong provinces express confidence in the authoritys investigation into the contaminated water of the Chao Phraya River. The Interior Minister and Industry Minister have requested officials from the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) to help investigate the case.

Chief of the Tambon Bang Sadet (บางเสด็จ) Local Administration Organization, Suthep Kakaew (สุเทพ กาแก้ว) says the fish farmers believe in the neutrality of the EIT officials. However, they call for the government to compensate the farmers first. The real wrongdoer of the case will later pay back the compensation to the government.
