Paul Williams, chief executive of Seafish, commented: "We have devised the Humber Seafood Development Day programme with the needs and concerns of the seafood industry in mind. Those attending the one day course or individual workshops will receive information and support on the matters that most concern them - trade and funding. This event reinforces Seafish's commitment to helping the fishing industry reach its potential."
Leendert Den Hollaner, CEO of Young's Seafood, added: "The Humber Seafood Development Day is an important opportunity to continue developing industry practices within the Humber region. Each of the speakers at the event brings with them a wealth of experience and knowledge and will provide insight into key issues, which will be invaluable to participants. It's vital that members of our industry come together and discuss their own experiences and establish new business opportunities, particularly focusing on how we motivate consumers to eat seafood twice a week, as this will allow the fishing industry to continue evolving."
