Chinese Delegation Visits Fish Establishments in Argentina

ARGENTINA - A delegation from the National Certification and Accreditation Agency (CNCA) of China has visited fish and poultry establishments in Argentina in order to authorise the export of products to China.

During the visit, which lasted from 17-25 April, the delegation visited establishments in the city of Mar del Plata, in the jurisdiction of the Regional Center South Buenos Aires. They also toured the Regional Laboratory and audited a poultry establishment in the town of Pilar, in the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Regional Center.

At the final meeting, which took place on 25 April, the head of the delegation of the CNCA, Gao Yongfeng, praised the control and monitoring work carried out by Senasa in fish and poultry establishments.

In 2012, Argentina exported to China 27,000 tons of fish and fishery products and 47,000 tons poultry meat.
