Strike Hits Market Supplies

JAPAN - A strike by Japanese fishermen hit supplies at Tokyo's leading fish market on Wednesday.

According to reports from Forbes, supplies at the Tsukiji Fish Market fell by about 24 per cent.

The traditional auctions were cut short and just over 400 tonnes of fish was traded.

According to Forbes about 200,000 fishing vessels stopped work on Tuesday in protest over rising fuel prices.
