Spain Welcomes New EU-Cape Verde Fisheries Agreement

SPAIN - The General Secretariat of Fisheries has celebrated the signing of the new fisheries agreement between the European Union and Cape Verde.

Thus, the current protocol, which expires on 31 August, will be renewed for another four years, counting from the moment the EU Council approved the text.

Specifically, this agreement will benefit 22 Spanish longline vessels, 16 freezer tuna seiners based in the Basque Country and seven port cane tuna boats also in the Basque Country.
