OIE: White Spot Disease Reported In US

HAWAII, US - A new outbreak of white spot disease was reported to the OIE by Dr John Clifford, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, US Department of Agriculture, Washington.

The outbreak was reported at a saltwater shrimp farm in Oahu, Hawaii.

The disease has infected the broodstock shrimp at the site.

The morbidity and mortality rates are at 100 per cent.

The source of the outbreak is unknown.
