The outbreak was reported to the OIE on the 21 May 2012.
Affecting a defined zone with in the country, the outbreak was reported at a salt water semi open farm in Sandnesbukta, Romsdal, More Og Romsdal.
Morbidity and mortality currently stand at one on a scale of zero to five and, of the 10,000 susceptible, there were 50 cases leading to 50 deaths.
The source of the outbreak is currently unknown.

NORWAY - An outbreak of Infectious Salmon Anaemia (ISA) virus has been reported to the OIE by Dr Keren Bar-Yaacov, Chief Veterinary Officer, Legislation, Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
