Pingtaners consume a lot of oysters, which leads to heaps of oyster shells being dumped on roads.
The company, set up by Ding Songping, who used to be an oyster shell collector, disposed of the shells by crushing them into powder and blending them into fodder in a bid to increase calcium supplements for poultry.
With the use of its own shell-cleaning machine and a shell grinder, the company can dispose of more than 2,000 tons of oyster shells every year.
Mr Ding said he hopes authorities will designate a plot of land for collection of oyster shells to create a cleaner environment as well as facilitate the disposal process.
