Brazil, Israel Cooperate on Fisheries and Aquaculture

BRAZIL - Last week, Brazilian Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Marcelo Crivelli, met with Israel's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Yair Shamir to discuss cooperation on fisheries and aquaculture.

The visit was made in order to to promote a mutual understanding in the private and public sectors in the development of fisheries and aquaculture in both countries.

The agreement also involves cooperation on fisheries management in international forums.

The Ministers also agreed to cooperate in matters of fisheries management in relevant regional fisheries and also to coordinate the positions of Ministries at the United Nations Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
