BAP Farm, Shrimp Hatchery Auditor Course Set For June

VIET NAM - Aspiring auditors, returning auditors requiring refresher training and observers can attend the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) Farm and Shrimp Hatchery Auditor Training Course to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, from the 19-21 June, held by the Global Aquaculture Alliance.

The course will cover BAP standards for shrimp hatcheries and for select types of farm culture methods, including land-based ponds and fresh and brackish water cage culture. All species, such as shrimp, tilapia and Pangasius, will be covered. Salmon and other marine cage-cultured species and mussels will not be covered.

The course will be taught by Jeff Peterson, BAP director of quality control; Ken Corpron, BAP Asia-Pacific region coordinator; and Murali Krishna Bujji, BAP trainer.

The venue will be determined at a later date.
