Øyvind J Hansen

Øyvind has been working as a scientist for the National Breeding Programme for Cod since 2003 and has been involved in the development of production protocols for broodstock, as well as research into live food, hatchery and starter feeds. He has also been conducting experiments together with industry on feed development, weaning diets and broodstock diets. This has resulted in scientific papers and commercially available diets for marine fish. Innovation that leads to scientific publications and commercialised products are among his favourite tasks. H efirst undertook aquaculture studies at vocational school, before following this up with a degree in marine biology/ecology at the University of Tromsø and a project management course at the Norwegian Business School.
