UK - Pinneys of Scotland, part of Youngs Seafood Limited has been invited to showcase its first class smoked salmon at a celebration at Buckingham Palace, the Coronation Festival.

The event will take place over four days from the 11th- 14th of July, during which Pinneys, and staff from Young’s Seafood Limited, will join Scotland’s fifteen other companies granted the Queen’s approval for their products, at the celebration.

The event is being held to mark the 60th anniversary this year of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation and this is the first time an event marking excellence in supply, trade and craft has been held on this scale.

Royal Warrant holder Pete Ward, the Chief Operating Officer of Young’s Seafood Limited, said: “We are delighted that our smoked salmon will be showcased at the upcoming Coronation Festival in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace. We smoke our salmon in Annan, in Scotland, over smouldering oak chips using traditional methods handed down over centuries.

"Salmon is a great source of protein, and Omega3, and we are committed to delivering great quality smoked salmon products. Our team are proud to have the opportunity to showcase our products at the event, and we are honoured to be purveyors of smoked salmon to HM The Queen.”

Tam Muldoon, Chilled Purchasing and Operations Director, Young’s Seafood Limited, and a salmon expert said: “It’s a source of immense pride and honour for all of us that the Royal Warrant is held on behalf of Pinneys of Scotland by Pete Ward, Chief Operating Officer at Young’s Seafood Limited to be the purveyors of smoked salmon to HM The Queen.

That we’ve held the Royal Warrant since 1986 is a testament to the high quality of our smoked salmon produced by our employees in Annan and the values which we base our business on. We use superior grade Scottish Farmed Salmon from approved Scottish fish farms in the Highlands and Islands which we then smoke using traditional methods.

We’re very much looking forward to attending the upcoming Coronation Festival in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace from 11th to 14th July hosted by the Royal Warrant Holders Association to celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation.”
