The daily vessel trip limit is reduced to 500 pounds beginning noon, local time, September 25, 2013, for Gulf group king mackerel in the northern Florida west coast subzone.

This subzone is located in federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico east of the Alabama/Florida state line and along Florida's west coast to the Lee/Collier County line.

NOAA Fisheries is reducing the trip limit because 75 per cent (or 134,136 pounds) of the 178,848-pound quota is projected to have been taken by this time.

The 500-pound daily trip limit will remain in effect until the quota is reached or through the end of the fishing year, June 30, 2014, whichever occurs first.
