Suspected Pancreas Disease in Tuvan, Finnmark

NORWAY - There is a suspected outbreak of Pancreas Disease (PD) at a farm owned by Mainstream in Tuvan, Langfjorden, Finnmark.

The suspicion was established on 18 January 2013 and movement restrictions have been applied to the farm.

The FSA plans to take out verification tests on 22 January 2013.

There are approximately 600,000 fish in 11 cages at the facility. The average weight of the fish in the plant is about 2 kg.
