The National Fisheries Institute (INAPESCA) noted that technology helps to give greater impetus to the production of food that provides protein for consumers.

INAPESCA noted that through photoperiod technology, the reproduction of trout eggs, which enhances the development of aquaculture, is increased.

This process has allowed for trout to reproduce outside its natural period.

The project in its pilot phase was successfully applied in the Aquaculture Center "El Zarco" located in the state of Mexico and spread to the production unit "Tatakany" which has meant that other truticultores entities (Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Chihuahua and Michoacan) requested advice from the INAPESCA to adopt the technique of reproduction.
