During the meeting, the consumption shares of stocks exploited by this fleet and regulated by ministerial order were discussed.
The status of these stocks, based on scientific advice from the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea, and forecasting total allowable catches for 2013 under the EU regulation of TACs and quotas was also studied.
The Director General announced that all these issues, as well as reviewing management systems, will be discussed further in the context of the working groups to be convened in early October.

SPAIN - The Director General of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Ignacio Escobar, met at the headquarters of the Federation of Fishermen Guipuzcoa, with the inshore fishing fleet based in that province, to analyse the situation of the sector.
