Healthy Fish is a website that can be accessed from desktop and tablet devices, and acts like an app on mobile phones.

It offers fish lovers and novices alike a wealth of information, from nutrition details and preparation tips, to sustainability information and recipes.

The well-known New Zealand commercial species fish poster has been updated with a QR code leading to the Healthy Fish site and distributed to fresh fish retailers.

Recipe cards featuring the QR code will also be made available through retailers.

Tim Pankhurst, Seafood New Zealand’s Chief Executive said: “We’re incredibly fortunate to have such an array of healthy fish stocks in New Zealand. We want to celebrate that and help people to get
their recommended quota of sustainable New Zealand seafood.”

The New Zealand Heart Foundation recommends at least two servings of fish or seafood per week.

Twenty of New Zealand’s most popular species will be included in the initial edition of Healthy Fish, and more species will be added in coming months.
