The agreement, reached in collaboration with technology firm Eyvi, includes two HP 20,000 heat pumps, cleaning-in-place (CIP) systems, and associated equipment, designed to optimise water temperature for fish health and growth. The systems have a capacity to heat 20,000 litres per minute and are expected to be installed by late 2025.
“This project highlights our focus on land-based aquaculture and reflects the trust in our robust and high-quality solutions,” said Johnny Valle, Sales and marketing director at PTG Frionordica.
Arctic Seafarm’s facility, expected to produce 10,000 tonnes of salmon annually by the end of 2026, will support around 40 local jobs in its initial phase. The project also secures strong activity levels at PTG’s factory in Malmefjorden, where the company employs 60 staff and apprentices.
“This partnership ensures excellent fish welfare, a priority in all our projects,” said Eyvi project manager Vegard Wigstøl, emphasising PTG’s competitive and high-performance solutions.
