New Aquaculture Sites Approved for Aysen region

CHILE - Subpesca and the Aysen Regional Commission for Use of the Coastline (CRUBC) have approved 41 coastal sites in the Aysen region of Chile for the development of aquaculture.

In total, the sites cover 615 hectares and meet all the distance criteria which are in place to protect the environment and health performance of aquaculture.

Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Raul Súnico said that relocation is very important to complete the ordering process of aquaculture and also a key step in the sustainability of aquaculture.
