Marine Harvest Reports Bigger than Expected Harvest Volume in Q3

NORWAY - Marine Harvest has reported a total harvest volume of 93,000 tonnes in quarter three of 2012, a higher ammount than the expected volume.

The update after the end of Q3 is as follows:

Farming Norway - 58 thousand tonnes
Farming Chile - 10 thousand tonnes
Farming Canada - eight thousand tonnes
Farming Scotland - 13 thousand tonnes
Other - four thousand tonnes
Total - 93 thousand tonnes

In connection with the presentation of the Q2 2012 results, Marine Harvest guided a total harvest volume of 90,000 tonnes (HOG) for Q3 2012.

Operational EBIT for the Group was approximately NOK 65 million in Q3 2012 (NOK 457 million in Q3 2011).

Net interest bearing debt per 30 September 2012 was approximately NOK 5,000 million.

The harvest volume originating in Norway contributed with a total operational EBIT through the value chain of NOK 2.3 per kg. The results for the Chilean and Canadian activities were adversely impacted by the challenging market conditions during the quarter.

Marine Harvest will release its Q3 2012 results on 26 October at 0700 CET.
