This year, a new class of spiny lobster catch ranging from 11-16 cm was established, replacing the old measure giving a range of 10 to 16 cm.

Legislation also requires that any person or entity engaged in fishing for lobster requires a permit under special rule issued by the National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Insopesca.)

The lobster season will then close again from 1 February to 30 September 2014.
