"We had noticed a significant increase in enquiries from food retailers, restaurants and caterers searching for Freedom Food approved suppliers via our network," said Freedom Food marketing manager Liam Kurzeja.
"The solution was the concept of an online business-to-business directory, which we launched earlier this year, which helps match our members and those businesses looking to source their higher welfare produce, simply and quickly."
The simple-to-use, searchable online directory service is open to all Freedom Food members to highlight their available products - and all suitable businesses, whether they are Freedom Food members or not, who are interested in sourcing higher welfare produce. Some of the many Freedom Food members who have already signed up to the directory include Traditional Norfolk Poultry (TNP), Marine Harvest, DB Foods and the Broad Oak Farm Sausage Company.
Businesses including retailers, restaurants, catering companies and intermediaries looking to source Freedom Food are encouraged to visit www.freedomfood.co.uk/industry/source-freedom-food and follow the simple sign-up process to register.
The online suppliers directory is secure – with full access to contact information available only to registered, appropriate businesses.
