Floods Ruin Fish Farming

Economics +1 more

PAKISTAN - Fish farmers have expressed concern over recent devastations of floodwaters and demanded the government grant loans on low mark-up.

Floodwaters destroyed hundreds of fish farms across the district. A large number of people were associated with fish farming, reports the Pakistan Observer.

Recent flood waves destroyed farms located in Muzaffargarh, Mehmoodkot, Sanawan, Khangarh, Mehrpur, Shahgarh, Mondka, Shah Jamal, Roheaniawali, Shehr Sultan, Wasindaywali and others places.

Farmers are concerned about destruction of their farms as many have high borrowings and are struggling to make payments.
