The workshop will consider the
sampling techniques and microscopy applied to studies of fertility, mackerel and
Atlantic mackerel.
These studies are essential for the implementation of the
methodology to estimate the biomass of the stock of both species. The information is also needed to make rational use of these fisheries as renewable resource.
