Yemen's Shrimp and Finfish Project to Begin

YEMENI - The Yemeni government is prepared to establish fish and shrimp aquaculture project with a total cost of $16 million, according to memorandum singed by Ministry of Fisheries Wealth and Khalij al-Phil Company on Saturday.

According to news from YemenObserver, Khalij al-Fil Company will also set up a center for preparing fishery exports and setting up a market to sell fish.

The agreement, signed by Fisheries Wealth Minister Mohammed Shamlan and chairman of company's board Mohammed al-Shayef, stipulated that the Ministry will prepare the economic, technical and environmental feasibility studies for the projects and its achievement stages according to the Investment Law.
