Women in aquacultureWomen in Aquaculture: new film released

Events +1 more

A new film that both celebrates the variety of key roles played by women in aquaculture, and urges more women to join the sector, has been published today.

Women in Aquaculture

The film, commissioned by The Fish Site, follows female participants at the Aquaculture UK exhibition, conference and awards, which were held in Aviemore in May, with a particular focus on the site's Women in Aquaculture breakfast.

One of its key messages is how diversity has consistently been shown to improve the economic performance of businesses and how company leaders are keen to encourage more women to join the sector, in particular in production roles. And The Fish Site hopes it will help to inspire more talented females to take an interest in the diverse range of opportunities offered by the aquaculture sector.
