The hatchery will be expanded from 6.8 hectares to the scale of 18 hectares in the period from 2015 to 2018, reports VASEP.
The hatchery is designed to meet standard for first-grade farm of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
It will produce 1,025 million of fries, 16 million of fingerlings and 20 million of fish seeds of all varieties and 1,320 million of giant freshwater prawn seeds, providing 50 per cent of the locality and neighbouring provinces's demand for fries and 10 per cent of demand for aquatic seeds.
