Total Value of Icelandic Catch Down from Last Year

ICELAND - Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 44.5 billion ISK in January-March 2013, compared with 46.7 billion ISK in the first three months of 2012, reports Statistics Iceland.

Total value decreased therefore by 4.7 per cent between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 26 billion; thereof cod ISK 14.2 billion, haddock 3.7 billion, and redfish 4 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 16.3 billion and flatfish catches for 2.1 billion.
