Total Value of Catch Increased by Six per cent

ICELAND - Total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 152.2 billion ISK in January-November 2012, compared with 143.6 billion ISK in the first eleven months of 2011, reports Statistics Iceland.

Total value increased therefore by 6.0% between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 89.7 billion; thereof cod ISK 45.9 billion, haddock 11.5 billion, and redfish 13.3 billion. Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 46.3 billion and flatfish catches for 9.7 billion.
