Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister, Dr Rajitha Senaratne, said the price of sea fish is increasing due to fuel price hikes, the increase of cost which sea fishermen have to spend on boats and repairs of their vessels. Hence, the demand for inland fish is increasing in the world, reports DailyNews.

Dr Rajitha Senaratne said arrangements are in place to develop the inland fisheries industry in the country while introducing modern technology which can be used to uplift the standards of the industry.
