Sernapesca to Present Salmon Health Report

CHILE - The National Fisheries and Aquaculture, Sernapesca, has announced, in Puerto Chacabuco, Aysen region, the third report of 2012 on the health status of salmon.

The report will review major diseases of salmonids and the analysis of mortality. In addition, it looks at the results achieved by the prevention and control programmes implemented by the institution to address these diseases.

The presentation will also gives official figures of drug use or consumption in the marine farms in the regions of Los Lagos, Aysen and Magallanes, and a detailed assessment of the health inspections conducted during September and October at ACS (Groupings Salmon Concessions) under Aysn Campaign.

The presentation ceremony of this report, is scheduled for 9:30 am on Thursday in the South Loberas Hotel in Puerto Chacabuco, national and regional authorities concur sector and representatives of the salmon industry.
