SalMar's Chief Finance Officer Steps Down

NORWAY - Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ulrik Steinvik has asked to be relieved of his position as CFO in order to focus his efforts on internal financial management and business support.

Mr Steinvik will lead this part of the Group's finance department in the newly created post of Chief Business Analyst. He will continue to be a key resource for the business segments and group management.

Trond Tuvstein (41) will take over as new CFO with effect from 15 October 2013. Mr Tuvstein is currently head of investor relations at SalMar ASA, a position he has held since January 2012. Mr Tuvstein therefore knows both SalMar and the aquaculture industry well.

Trond Tuvstein is certified public accountant, having completed a Master's degree in Accounting and Auditing at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH)in Bergen.

Mr Tuvstein has extensive experience from the accounting industry. He has held leading positions in auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers and Systemrevisjon, among others.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Yngve Myhre said: "SalMar is growing rapidly, and we are pleased to have strong internal resources on which to draw on to follow up our existing improvement programs."
