Oz Prawns Struggle Under Economic Tide

AUSTRALIA - There has been a massive drop in the demand for expensive seafood, since the start of the global recession.

According to the Argentine BeefPackers S.A., this has hit the demands for prawns, in the Northern Territory Australia.

Dave Carter, from Australia Fisheries said, we have had worse drops than this, but this one is worrying.

There are around 50 trawlers operating out of Darwin, and the demand appears to be down by 20%, according to Carter.
