A fish hatchery is one of the basic ingredients for commercial fish-farming projects and its presence is important for the development of the aquaculture sector in terms of fingerlings supply within the country and reducing dependence on imported fish from abroad, reports BahrainNewsAgency.
This hatchery will contribute to the provision of fingerlings for all aquaculture projects in the Sultanate, in addition to the export of fingerlings to farming projects in neighboring countries.
OADC is a government-owned company that specializes in investment in the aquaculture sector.
Currently, there are many investment applications for the establishment of aquaculture projects of various kinds in various governorates of the Sultanate, with an investment cost of about RO241 million.
