UK - Salmon smoker, Lossie Seafoods, and langoustine processor, Moray Seafoods, have appointed an export director to spearhead sales into new markets around the world.

Associated Seafoods recently acquired both Buckie companies, and the appointment of experienced export sales director Henry Angus will provide the platform to develop new business into key markets for premium Scottish smoked salmon, langoustine and crab.

Henry Angus (45) brings considerable experience to Moray and Lossie Seafoods, joining the two companies from Gourmets Choice in Portsoy where he was export sales manager. Previously, he was account manager and involved in export sales for Baxters Food Group, and before then held similar roles at Strathaird Salmon.

Henry said: I am delighted to be joining Lossie and Moray Seafoods at this exciting time in their development. Both companies offer high quality products that are in strong demand around the world. I have been particularly impressed by the dedication and motivation of the staff in both companies.

Victor West, the managing director of Moray and Lossie Seafoods, said: Henry brings considerable experience of business development into the important export market. Since the acquisition of the two companies by Associated Seafoods, we have been embarking upon a restructuring and development programme, and the appointment of Henry is a key element of ensuring its successful implementation.
