With this increase in quota, Spain reaches 5726 tons for 2013.

With proper management of the fishery last year, Spain did not have to pay for any excess catches and was left with 10 per cent of the quota unused which can apply to 2013 catches.

The Ministry hopes that the available quota increase in 2013 will allow a long and profitable season for purse seine vessels engaged in this species.
