The Skipper Expo Int. Galway 2013 is virtually full, with only some stand space outside the main exhibition hall available, while Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen 2013 has 60 per cent of stand capacity already booked with five months still to go until the start of the show. Many companies have taken the decision to exhibit at both shows.

Sharon Boyle of Mara Media says: The level of interest for both expos has been absolutely superb, and will maintain their status as must visit events in the fisheries calendar. The continuing message we are getting from exhibitors is the excellent feedback they have enjoyed from previous shows, and this is why they are so keen to exhibit again.

FMS (Scotland) is one company that will be exhibiting at both expos. John Harold, managing director, said: Both the Galway and the Aberdeen exhibitions have proved extremely valuable for us in the past, leading to many enquiries and solid orders. We are confident that this years expos will prove equally fruitful.

The RNLI is also exhibiting at Galway and Aberdeen. Frankie Horne of the RNLI said: We have found these shows to be extremely useful and they are a great place to meet new contacts and highlight the work we do. Mara Media do a fantastic job in organising these expos because they have such close links with the fishing industry.

Sharon Boyle added: What is particularly encouraging are the numbers first time exhibitors at both shows, which will ensure there will be plenty to interest visitors.

Meanwhile, the Skipper Expo Int. Bristol a totally new show focusing on English and Welsh fishing communities is also attracting strong interest, with about 50 per cent of stand space sold so far. It will be held on 25 - 26 October 2013.

The Skipper Expo Int. Galway 2013 will be held in Galway on 1 - 2 March 2013. The Skipper Expo International Aberdeen 2013 will be held in Aberdeen on 10 - 11 May 2013 at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre (AECC).
