Dr Jane Lubchenco, Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator will be signing on behalf of the US.
The signing ceremony for the Joint Statement on efforts to combat IUU fishing will be held 7 September 2011, from 10:30 am to 12 pm, Ronald Reagan International Trade Center, Washington D.C.
EU & US Joint Effort Against Illegal Fishing
EU and US - On her visit to the US next week, EU Fisheries Commissioner, Maria Damanaki, will sign, on behalf of the EU, a joint statement recognising the importance of the cooperation with the US authorities to effectively address illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
