EU and MOROCCO - On a proposal of the Commission the Council mandated yesterday its Presidency to inform Morocco of the immediate termination of the provisional application of a protocol setting out the fishing opportunities and financial compensation provided for in the EU/Morocco fisheries partnership agreement.
The decision follows the decision of the European Parliament not to give its consent to the protocol, which makes it impossible for the Council to approve its conclusion.
