After seeing the rigorous certification system Sernapesca sets for Chilean exports, it is expected that Cuba will authorise the exports to maintain the income of Chilean products to the Caribbean country.

After holding a coordination meeting, the delegation will visit the regions of Biobío and Lagos, where they will visit processing plants, shipping ports and farms.

The Deputy Director of Foreign Trade for Sernapesca, Cecilia Solis, explained that "Cuba represents an important market for domestic fish products, especially for mackerel resource, so this visit is of great significance for the industry."
