Hatcheries Economics +3 more

AUSTRALIA - Clean Seas Tuna's ambition to close the lifecycle of southern bluefin tuna is looking positive, according to an update on the stock exchange.

Preparations have begun at the company's onshore hatchery at Arno Bay for this season's tuna spawning, reports the Port Lincoln Times.

"Males are aggressive and are competing for position," chairman Hagen Stehr said on the stock exchange.

"The behaviour from females is the same shown prior to the release of eggs in northern bluefin tuna.

"We are on target in our propagation cycle."
