NORWAY - Cermaq brought home the most prestigious award when the Farmand prize for the best Annual Report was announced. Cermaq won the category for listed companies. The integrated Annual and Sustainability report at GRI B+ level was praised for especially for its key figures, structure and a consistent comparison between goals and achievements.

"We are extremely proud and honoured by this recognition of this report which is the result of the thorough work and contributions by so many people in our organisation," says Corporate Affairs Director Lise Bergan.

The Farmand jury’s assessment stated: "This giant within aquaculture has presented a highly strong report which delivers well on all evaluated areas. The key figures are of very high quality. Furthermore the jury is impressed by the consistent comparison between goals and achievements. The report also achieves top score for its structure and design. Use of tables and graphical presentations is close to exemplary and contributes to making the report even more useful and reader-friendly."

Lise Bergan added: "In Cermaq we are committed to transparency, and to demonstrate that we create values for our shareholders through sustainable aquaculture. The Annual report is an important tool to show how we achieve this."

Cermaq recently made it to the top in a benchmarking report on global CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) reporting in the aquaculture industry, and was nominated by Seafood Intelligence, who published the report, as a leading company in CSR reporting.

"Both the Farmand award and the global benchmark reports on CSR reporting inspires us and motivated us to continuous improvement," concluded Lise Bergan.
