Catfish Feed Deliveries - US - Total catfish feed delivered in the United States during July 2006 was 131,281 tons, up 10 percent from July 2005 and 11 percent above the previous month.

July 2006 Catfish Feed Deliveries Up 10 Percent From Last Year

Feed delivered for foodsize fish totaled 121,527 tons, and feed for fingerlings and broodfish totaled 9,754 tons in July 2006.

July feed delivered to Mississippi catfish growers for foodsize fish totaled 60,023 tons, up 9 percent from last year and accounted for 49 percent of the total foodsize catfish feed delivered to U.S. farmers.

The other major States with catfish feed deliveries for foodsize fish in July were: Alabama with 31,555 tons, Arkansas with 20,357 tons, and Louisiana with 3,652 tons.
