This marks a significant milestone for the company, which specialises in efficient feed transportation tailored to modern land-based and closed fish farming systems.
"We are experiencing strong international interest in our solutions from players investing in land-based fish farming. Our technology is developed with a focus on operational reliability, and we have systems that enable us to provide remote assistance to customers worldwide efficiently. This means our clients always have access to Norwegian expertise to help optimise their facilities and production,” said Ole Gabriel Kverneland, CEO of Laksesystemer, in a press release.
Prior to the finalisation of the new agreements, Laksesystemer participated in a knowledge exchange programme linking Norway and South Korea earlier this year.
"The programme provided valuable insight into the South Korean market and strengthened our collaboration with local stakeholders. This has been an important part of our establishment in the region,” commented Kverneland.
Mirae Aqua Farm, a South Korean company currently constructing a land-based salmon farming facility in Pohang, is amongst Laksesystemer's new clients. Once completed, the facility will have the capacity to produce 10,000 tons of salmon, according to Suhyung Cho, CEO of Mirae Aqua Farm.
The new agreements with customers in South Korea, Iceland, and Japan reinforce Laksesystemer’s position as a provider of Norwegian-developed technology for the future of aquaculture.
