New Democrat MLA Gregor Robertson says approving the farms was a hasty decision. Robertson says the farms will introduce a new species, the geoduck clam and it's unknown how the 460 acres of seabed farms will affect wild populations,
"They're a whole new species and new technologies. It's a lot of plastic on the seabed. A lot of technology used to plant and then harvest the geoducks."
